Mango Strawberry Layered breakfast Smoothie is a health way to get all the goodness of fruits to kick start the day with a liquid morning meal.

Ingredients

  • For Mango smoothie layer:
  • cups Mango chunks or pulp or frozen
  • ½ cup Greek yoghurt
  • ¼ cup Orange Juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey Optional
  • For Strawberry Banana Smoothie layer:
  • cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced in half (or frozen)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or normal yoghurt
  • 1 medium banana peeled and cut into chunks (or frozen)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • Other Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Granola
  • Few Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Blend all the ingredients under For Mango smoothie layer: together until smooth. Add more orange juice if it is too thick. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Pour equally into 2 glasses.
  • Rinse out the blender and blend all the ingredients under For Strawberry Banana Smoothie layer: together until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Layer some granola on top of the mango banana smoothie layer, then pour the strawberry smoothie on top. Top with more granola. Garnish with mint leaves.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

1. You can also try other favourite fruit combinations of your choice.
2. Adding honey is optional, use as required to suit your taste.
3. For an additional spice kick, you can grate and add a little ginger.
4. Use any yogurt you love or have on hand: regular, Greek, nonfat, low fat, strawberry, banana, vanilla, etc.
5. Skip granola if you do not like or you can use your favourite flavoured granola.
6. You can also replace granola with plain oats.
