A comfort drink with many health benefits and often used as an alternative remedy to boost immunity and stave off illness due to turmeric’s anti-inflammatory & healing properties.

Ingredients
2CupsWhole Milk
1tspTurmeric Powder
1/2tspBlack PeppercornsLightly crushed
1/2tspDry ginger powder
1/2tspGhee Or Coconut oil
A Pinch of Cardamom
1tspHoneyOr any sweetener of choice
Instructions
Add milk to a saucepan or pot and bring to a boil over medium heat with occasional stirring.
Add in all the spices. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until all the flavours infuse into the milk.
Finally add 1/2 teaspoon of ghee (clarified butter) or coconut oil and cardamom powder. Boil for another minute and turn off the heat.
Strain the drink through a fine strainer. Pour back and forth between 2 glasses to get that froth.
Add in sweetener of your choice. If adding honey, please add after the milk gets lukewarm or when you are just about to drink it.
Top up with a pinch of cinnamon powder and serve warm. Optionally you can garnish with nuts & saffron.

Notes
Skip any spice that you don’t like other than pepper.
Make this milk using fresh turmeric when it is in season.
You can make a vegan version by replacing regular milk with vegan milk of your choice and add maple syrup instead of honey.
You can just add a teaspoon of my Turmeric Tea Powder to 1 cup milk and boil. Add a sweetener of choice & sip warm.
