Dry roast the nuts in a pan, one by one on low heat.
You can run the nuts in a blender just for a few seconds to get a coarse powder.
Heat ghee in a pan over low heat, add in the chopped dates and roast till you get a soft mixture.
Mix dates paste, nuts and combine well.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well.
Grease your hand with ghee, take small portions and start making balls when the mixture is still warm.
Optionally, you can roll the balls over roasted sesame seeds.
Serve or store in an air tight container once they cool down.
