A must try recipe for all seafood lovers like me!! The ingredients which go into the making of this Spicy Prawn Curry Recipe Indian Style are easily available in your kitchen. And most importantly, there is no need of making any advance preparation and will be done under 30 minutes.
This Spicy Prawn Curry Recipe Indian Style is a quick sea food curry recipe. Prawns are cooked in onions, ginger garlic paste and garam masala powder resulting in a very delicious curry! For this recipe, I do not use tomato or coconut.
I love prawn/shrimp for its versatility, sweetness and speed of preparation. It’s one of the quickest cooking proteins we can think of. But just because prawns cooks quickly, doesn’t mean you can’t screw it up.
The best prawn/shrimp are mildly buttery with the firmness of tofu, and a tiny hint of sweetness with a subtle Oceany flavour. But they’re incredibly mild and they always require some salt. They can stand up to quite a bit of seasoning, added masalas and really blend well with flavours.
Here is a general rule while cooking prawns/shrimp- straight shrimp are undercooked, shrimp that have just curled into a C-shape are perfectly cooked and shrimp that have twisted into an O-shape are overcooked. Overcooked prawns/shrimp are rubbery. It should not be chewy like gum. It should be firm yet soft and tender.
